Spring Fever

Mr. cutie patootie and I had a mini photoshoot on Saturday.  I'm not much on having my mugshot taken these days but I was dressed up (for once) and made Nonna snap a few shots of us together.  I should have photoshopped them a little first but here they are in their straight-out-of-the-camera glory.  Those of you that know me well, know how much I love the 'remove blemish' or 'remove wrinkles' option on my photo editor...Lets just say there were lots of crows feet on the front porch this weekend....but sweet boy always is flawless...

What expressive eyebrows you have there, Mr. B!

Such a sweet smile!

Look at Nonna!!

"Okay, mommy, I've had enough!"

Sunday we took a stroll down the driveway for a bit.  It was such a beautiful day, I can't wait to get outside with Beckett this summer!

There's no explanation needed if you know Chad....turned out to be nothing special according to the rock genius.

Buds are forming on my japanese maples.  Spring is on the way...

Are the cute police out today?  Cause someone's getting a ticket!

Happy Thursday!

I love this picture, it's almost as if he's anxious to find out what comes next in the book....

Gimme some SUGAR!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!
Here's my little 'eye candy' from this weekend.  Nonna had a few surprises for sweet boy so Beckett and I ran over for a visit.  I think we can safely say that he liked the lollipops that he got a small taste of!
Chad surprised me Sunday with a visit from Gigi!  She dropped by to sit with Beckett so Chad and I could have a Valentine's dinner out.  Bonefish sure beat the heck out of the Taco Bell dinner  I picked up on the way home from running errands!

Getting cleaned up and ready for round 2, the mickey mouse lollipop!

Yum yum!!

Sticky!!

Funny Nonna

I'll most likely get in trouble with Beckett's Nonna for posting this video but it's just too funny not to share.  Chad and I already lied and told her it got 500 hits on YouTube anyway!

A few things I've learned about motherhood (and pregnancy)

There is no such thing as "eating for two"
No baby in this world needs Cracker Barrel and red velvet cake on a regular basis.
Once the baby is born, the red velvet cake, chicken and dumplins don't magically go away!

To all of you who told me, "Take a nap" and "enjoy your sleep while you can"
Why didn't I listen?

No one can prepare you for the overwhelming feeling of love you have when your baby is placed in your arms for the first time.  I knew I would love him, I was truly unaware how MUCH I would love him!!

You have an all new respect for your own mother, especially if she declined an epidural!

Grandmothers are placed on this earth with the sole purpose to spoil their grandbabies.  Period. End of story!

You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago but wish more than ever that the ones that are no longer here could share in your joy.

Your heart breaks much more easily.

It's the little things in life that matter the most

You think of someone else 435,897,546,268,745 times a day

You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child

You take time for one more hug and kiss, even if it means you'll be late

You find your baby's pain feels much worse than your own

You become a morning person

You now believe in love at first sight
