A good friend of mine gave me this recipe a few years ago and it's been our staple 'go-to meal.' If all else fails and there's nothing else to cook (when I actually turn on the stove instead of the microwave) we usually have the ingredients to throw this together. You can easily tweak this to your liking and add other things to the mix.
Here's how we usually make it:
Ingredients: 2 packages beef ramen noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 large package frozen stir fry vegetables (I use Birds Eye mix with water chestnuts and broccoli)
1/3 c. soy sauce (or more depending on taste)
1 c. water
Brown meat; drain and return to pan. Add vegetables, both packages of ramen noodles (broken up), water and one of the packets of beef flavoring that comes with them, and soy sauce.
Simmer on low until noodles are cooked thoroughly.
Great Recipe! I am going to try this one! Looks easy...but something out of the ordinary! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat recipe! How much vegetables would a large package contain? (1 cup, 4 oz., etc.) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm not real sure, I'll check the amount that comes in a package the next time I cook this. It's most likely around 4 cups I'd imagine.
