Most of my recent craft projects haven't turned out so well.
Much to my dismay, I've managed to waste not one, but TWO
large monogram M's and a bag of sheet moss.
We won't go there though, because they both look pathetic and I'm trying to
salvage them. I may post pics just so everyone can get a laugh.
Here is one quick craft that I think turned out quite well.
It's a shadowbox that I have hanging in the downstairs hallway
of all our "wedding" things.
I can't take credit for this idea though, when I was in Tampa at
a wedding shower for my sister-in-law, the hosts had
one of these hanging in the foyer and I loved it.

It's so much better than a scrapbook that collects dust on a shelf.
I love seeing it everyday when I walk down the stairs. |
Love it! What a great idea! I am going to start mine tonight!

Love it! Going to make one for my daughter for Christmas! Have all the items!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea :) I have so many little things that sit in a small box and collects dust. It will be nice to see them daily and remember the best day of my life! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeletei absolutely love it! you are brilliant. just did the same thing. i just loved every detail about my wedding. i also added a personalized cocktail napkin from reception and a small white lacey handkerchief that was wrapped around my bouquet (i wore it as a bonnet home from the hospital when i was born)! thanks for you idea :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's the size of your shadowbox and where did you get it? Love it!
ReplyDeleteNot sure of the size. A little larger than a legal size document? I bought it at Tuesday Morning many, many moons ago. You can get them at craft stores or places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Ross...
DeleteWhat a great idea!! What did you use to keep all of the items in place? Thanks!!;)
ReplyDeleteI did a layout first, taped some of the pieces together and used pearl pushpins to adhere it to the corkboard.
