Happy Friday!
Today, I'm bringing you product reviews on some of the latest, greatest (and not-so great) items I've bought and put to the test recently. They may not be new items on the market, but they ARE new to my love/hate list.
Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara I got tired of breaking the bank with my Lancome Definicils or Diorshow so I thought I'd give some drugstore brands a whirl. After trying a few different brands, Maybelline's Colossal mascara won the test. My only complaint, it runs out pretty quick, but if you want large-and-in-charge lashes, this one gets two thumbs up! Verdict: HIT! |
Goody Quick Style Paddle Brush I'm a sucker for a gimmick. I saw this advertised in a fashion magazine and it claimed to dry hair 30% faster. I have long hair and only use a paddle brush minimally while drying, so I didn't find that it accelerated the drying process at all. The microfiber becomes completely wet after a few swipes through my hair and then becomes useless. Verdict: Miss |
Lifeproof iphone Case With a beach trip planned, and potty training on my horizon, I finally broke down and got the waterproof iphone case my brother had been urging me to get since the day my iphone arrived in the mail. It's slimmer and lighter than an otterbox, which immediately appealed to me. I love all the designer cases with prints, colors and patterns, but in all reality, protection from water and a 20 month old made my decision easier. It was fantastic to be able to stand out in the surf with wet hands and take pictures. While everyone else stowed theirs in ziploc bags, I had no worries! Verdict: Hit! |
Revlon PhotoReady Foundation I've been using Revlon Colorstay Foundation for a few years and love it, so I thought I'd try the PhotoReady Foundation when Walgreen's was running a buy one get one 50% off sale. I was happy that it stayed on as well as the Colorstay Foundation and one pump covers my whole face. I'll definitely buy this one again! Verdict: Hit! |
Activate Vitamin Water |
I thought that since I liked Vitamin Water, I'd probably like this one.
Why not give it a try, right?
First off, it comes with instructions on how to open the bottle.
Evidently, you have to shake it up first, and when I went to open it, it took me
10 minutes to figure how to get the cap off.
Smells like a bottle of Flinstone vitamins and tastes awful.
I'd much rather take my vitamins in pill form, thank you!
Verdict: Miss
Naturally Fresh Jalepeno Ranch Dressing I'm so incredibly addicated to this stuff! With the diet I'm on, I'm very limited in choices, and I eat a LOAD of salad. A friend of mine had some at her house when I stopped by at lunch and I've been addicted ever since. Literally, I'll devour a whole bag of broccoli and cauliflower when I have this on hand for dipping. It's got a great kick! Find it in the produce section with the refrigerated dressings. Verdict: Hit |
I tried Skinnygirl Margarita...tastes like jet fuel...old jet fuel. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI really like this post! I love that mascara too..haven't tried S.Girl, guess I will not be ;)Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI tried the Skinngirl White Cranberry Cosmo this weekend and it was pretty good! Not the best drink i've ever had, but it definitely didn't taste like bug spray or jet fuel :)
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Note to self: Don't try the margarita, maybe the cosmo! ;)
ReplyDeleteI do like the Skinnygirl Margarita but totally agree with you on the Sangria - I was excited to try it but it was awful. I recently also tried the Pina Colada and it was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the Skinnygirl Margarita was pretty good too. I haven't tried any of the other flavors...I want to try the Pina Colada one though
