God Bless America

Beckett pulled out a book from the stack in his room last weekend that we've been reading this week.
It's Irving Berlin's God Bless America illustrated and based on the lyrics of the song.
He sings it along with me as we read.
Today, more than ever, I embrace the words.

GOD bless America.
Land that I love. 
Stand beside her, and guide her, 
through the night with the light from above. 
From the mountains, to the prairies, 
to the oceans, white with foam.

    This...cause the next four years will be more of "the night".
